“VISEGRÁD” INTERNATIONAL FUND VISITING ZABRICENI MONASTERY
Officials of the “Visegrád” International Fund Mr. Petr Mareš, the executive director, Ms. Anna Adamczyk, project manager and Ms. Katerina Silhankova, advisor for development and economic affairs of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Chisinau visited the Zabriceni monastery today. The visit is part of the “Organization of a placement center for vulnerable people seeking help and shelter at the Zabriceni monastery, including Ukrainian refugees” Project, financed by the Visegrád International Fund. During the visit, the high-ranking officials got acquainted with the current state of project implementation, discussed areas of interest and opportunities for further cooperation.
The project is implemented by the “Homecare” Public Association in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Chisinau and in partnership with the “Rural Family” Public Association, and aims to organize a placement center specialized in providing medical and social services to vulnerable people, people with disabilities or elderly. The placement center will be set up in the Zabriceni monastery. The rooms will be renovated and equipped with furniture and appliances. A nurse and a social worker will be employed at the Center. For more complicated situations, vulnerable refugees, who cannot move, will be consulted by doctors through the “Telemedicine” platform while being assisted by nurses and social workers – employed within the “Sfântă Iuliana” medico-social center in the village of Țaul, Dondușeni district. During the project, the Center will be provided with the necessary medicines and medical supplies. The center will have a car to transport vulnerable people.
The project is co-financed by the governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through the International Fund “Visegrád”. The fund’s mission is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
