Support for the Community: Essential Medical Supplies for Refugees and Locals
As part of the project “Space and Time Measured with the Heart – Bringing Telemedicine Closer to Every Person in Need,” supported by Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) A Corporation (PCUSA) and implemented by AO “HOMECARE,” significant stocks of medical supplies are provided. These supplies are used both in medical-social institutions and during home visits, ensuring high-quality support for Ukrainian refugees and local residents.
The project ensures sufficient stocks of:
- Disposable surgical masks to ensure hygiene and prevent the spread of infections;
- Disinfectants and sanitizing products, essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment;
- Sterile dressings, used for treating wounds and other medical procedures;
- Hygiene and household equipment, including bedding and cleaning products.
These resources are crucial for carrying out the project activities, which facilitate access to rapid and specialized medical consultations for both Ukrainian refugees and local residents.
The project also provides telemedicine services and home care through 8 medical-social centers across Moldova.
The project’s funding has been taken over by Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), ensuring its sustainability and the continuity of support for vulnerable individuals. The centers have been equipped with modern appliances such as washing machines and dryers, enabling proper hygiene for patients confined to their homes.
