Homecare offers help to the ukrainian refugee families and to the families that accommodate them
The “Homecare” Association with financial support from the international organization Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V., within the Project “Medical and Social Services for Ukrainian Refugees in Moldova – Phase III,” has acquired and distributed 10 high-performance refrigerators to vulnerable Ukrainian refugee families and the families hosting them.
The medical-social center teams, in agreement with the Local Public Administration, identified the beneficiaries and handed over the refrigerators free of charge in the presence of the donors, as follows:
• ”St. Juliana” Medical-Social Center, village of Țaul (Dondușeni) – 3
• ”Maria Magdalena” Medical-Social Center, city of Ștefan Vodă – 3
• ”Rebeca” Medical-Social Center, city of Bălți – 2
• ”Estera” Medical-Social Center, city of Chișinău – 2
“Thanks to this incredible gift, we now have the opportunity to preserve food in sanitary conditions and at reasonable costs because the acquired technology aligns with the latest energy efficiency standards. On our own, we wouldn’t have been able to procure such a wonderful refrigerator for many years to come—neither us nor our host, a generous woman with disabilities who has hosted us for almost 2 years in her
two-room apartment for free. We sincerely thank the donors and project managers for this unexpected surprise, which we consider a great help for refugees and a well-deserved reward for the kindness shown by the citizens of this country when they opened not only their doors but sometimes their hearts to people fleeing war,” confessed Tatiana, a refugee from Ukraine.
Within the same project, with around 1000 direct beneficiaries, the employees of 8 medical-social centers in the Homecare network continue to facilitate the provision of 600 remote medical and psychological consultations through the telemedicine platform of the “Homecare” Association. Additionally, with the help of 8 mobile teams, they provide individualized support for 100 refugees with special needs in accessing electronic services offered by national authorities, including assistance in obtaining temporary protection in the Republic of Moldova.
The “Homecare” Association, with financial support from the international organization Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V., in the framework of the Project “Medical and Social Services for Ukrainian Refugees in Moldova – Phase III,” remains committed to assisting Ukrainian refugees, thereby contributing to the efforts of the Republic of Moldova in addressing the demand for health and social protection services in the context of managing the influx of Ukrainian refugees.
