Public policy seminar for parliamentarians
On October 31st, AO HOMECARE organized a workshop in the field of public health policies. The event was attended by representatives of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Protection, Health, and Family, as well as other members of parliament and officials from the Parliament.
The seminar provided participants with an opportunity to explore and discuss essential topics in the realm of public health policies. The agenda covered a wide range of subjects and facilitated an understanding of the complexity of policy development processes. Participants engaged in debates on issues such as the challenge of regulating the placement of pharmacies in the country and explored topics related to public interventions.
The facilitator, Mr. Stanislav Ghilețchi, a specialist in public policy and Deputy Director at the Institute for European Policies and Reforms, addressed participants on various topics, including:
- The lifecycle of planning documents and public policy, the stages of implementation, and aligning local policies with national ones.
- The concept of public policy analysis, including when and how to conduct ex-ante analysis, as well as methods for data collection and information processing.
- Properly defining issues and setting objectives in policy development.
- Applying different intervention tools available to public authorities in the development of public health policies.
The workshop was organized as part of the project “Health Equity through Social Responsibility,” implemented by the Swiss Red Cross in partnership with AO HOMECARE and AO CASMED, with financial support from the Swiss government.
