PREVENTING PROFESSIONAL BURNOUT: EMPOWERING EMPLOYEES FOR A HEALTHIER WORKFORCE

In a continuous effort to prioritize the well-being of employees, two groups of participants, comprising staff members from the Office of the People’s Advocate and the Institute for Human Rights in Moldova, recently underwent specialized training sessions on professional burnout prevention. The training took place on July 4-5 and July 11-12, respectively, providing participants with valuable insights and strategies to mitigate the risks associated with professional burnout.

Leading the training sessions was Ms. Viorica Bucșa, a highly regarded clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, and judicial expert. With her extensive expertise in the field, Ms. Bucșa delivered informative and engaging sessions, addressing key factors and elements that contribute to the onset of professional burnout. Participants gained valuable knowledge on various topics, including the identification and management of emotions, adaptive coping mechanisms within their professional activities, the development of emotional intelligence and management skills, as well as the facilitation of preventive measures and strategies to overcome professional burnout.

This significant initiative was made possible through the implementation of the project “Equity in Health through Social Accountability,” a collaborative effort between the Swiss Red Cross, AO HOMECARE, and AO CASMED. Generously funded by the Swiss Government, this project exemplifies the commitment to fostering a supportive and balanced work environment.

The training sessions were a part of the broader scope of activities encompassed by the project, which aims to promote overall well-being and address critical challenges faced by employees. By equipping participants with the necessary tools and knowledge, the project seeks to enhance their resilience, improve work-life balance, and ultimately create a more harmonious and productive workplace.

The importance of preventing professional burnout cannot be overstated. It not only safeguards the mental and emotional health of employees but also contributes to increased productivity, job satisfaction, and overall organizational success. Through initiatives like these, organizations demonstrate their dedication to nurturing a positive work culture and supporting the individuals who make valuable contributions to their respective fields.

The Office of the People’s Advocate, the Institute for Human Rights, and all the participating employees extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Swiss Red Cross, AO HOMECARE, AO CASMED, and the Swiss Government for their unwavering support and commitment to promoting employee well-being.

As we move forward, let us strive together to foster healthier work environments, where individuals can thrive and excel in their professional endeavors. Together, we can build a brighter future, one that is characterized by resilient and empowered individuals.
