HOMECARE SUPPORTS THE “INTEGRITY FOR HEALTH” AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

From March to July 2023, AO HOMECARE has been supporting the “Integrity for Health” awareness campaign, initiated in May 2022 by the National Anticorruption Center,g in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the National Health Insurance Company, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The initiative has been part of the project “Equity in Healthcare through Social Accountability,” implemented by the Swiss Red Cross in partnership with AO CASMED and AO HOMECARE, with the financial support of the Swiss Government.

Professionals from anticorruption structures trained employees of 25 primary healthcare institutions integrity standards and anticorruption measures. AO HOMECARE provided informational materials and IT equipment to ensure an efficient and coherent educational process.

The campaign aims at promoting integrity in the healthcare sector, thus strengthening patients” trust and transparency in the medical system. Through the support provided by AO HOMECARE, the project successfully disseminated key messages about combating corruption and encouraged social accountability among medical institutions.

AO HOMECARE is committed to support this initiative and participate in upcoming trainings, thereby contributing to the development of a more ethical and honest medical system for the benefit of the entire community.

The “Integrity for Health” campaign is a compelling example of collaboration between authorities, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector, demonstrating that only through joint efforts can we build an efficient healthcare system in which citizens can have complete confidence.
