HOMECARE IN STEFAN VODA

This week the Homcare mobile team has been working in the Ștefan Vodă rayon. The team has interacted with dozens of people. Ala Kartasova is 83 years old. She came to Moldova on April 22 from the town of Nikolaev. She has been here with her husband for a year. She is grateful for the goodness of heart of the Moldovans, for the aid granted, for the attention they receive from the state and non-governmental organizations. Her greatest desire is to see the end of the war as quickly as possible and to be able to return home. She doesn’t have the faintest idea how they will live in the future. The house they lived in was destroyed by bombing. As part of the Homecare actions, each refugee receives a hygiene kit with essential products. The activities have a wide scope and are supported by the United Nations Population Fund UNFPA Moldova throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova as a response to the refugee crisis. The teams are made up of social workers, psychologists and legal profesionals and offer practical advice on how refugees can interact with the Moldovan authorities or act in crisis situations
