HOMECARE BRINGS TECHNOLOGY TO HOME CARE
HOMECARE Association is bringing technology to home care system in Moldova through the project “Technology for the Future – Telemedicine in Home Care in Moldova.” With the financial support of the Czech Development Agency, the project has successfully developed and implemented the concept of telemedicine in Moldova, particularly in the field of home care for the elderly, people with disabilities, and patients requiring medical and social care.
During the three years of project implementation, HOMECARE Association has focused on organizing an extensive awareness campaign targeting social workers, healthcare professionals, representatives of central and local authorities, as well as the general public. The primary goal of this campaign has been to promote telemedicine as a solution to the existing challenges and personnel shortage in the national healthcare sector, while also addressing the general skepticism surrounding social and health IT solutions. Telemedicine provides the opportunity to deliver remote medical care, enabling access to quality healthcare services in rural areas and in cases where patient mobility is limited.
One of the main achievements in 2023 was the organization of information sessions in 22 districts of Moldova, targeting local authorities and service providers. These sessions aimed to present the model of telemedicine service delivery, highlighting its advantages and possibilities in home care.
Through the “Technology for the Future – Telemedicine in Home Care in Moldova” project, HOMECARE Association aims to bring innovation and technology to the field of home care, improving the quality of life for the elderly, people with disabilities, and patients with complex medical needs.
We are proud of the results achieved so far and remain actively engaged in promoting telemedicine and the use of IT solutions for the benefit of the community.
