HOME CARE SERVICES IN UKRAINE
The Homecare Public Association has started training Ukrainian caregivers on medico-social care at home.
100 people from 5 Ukrainian regions, Kherson, Nikolayev, Kharkov, Odesa and Cherkassy will be trained by Homecare to develop similar services in Ukraine. HOMECARE has sound experience in organizing online and offline courses and aims to empower trainers at the local level, capable of developing home care services in the 5 regions of Ukraine.
The president of AO “Homecare”, Tamara Adașan, states that the initiative comes as a response to the requests coming from Ukrainian families, who asked for consultations on homecare for lonely people or people with special needs, who remained in Ukraine.
The project “Strengthening capacities in long-term medico-social care at home for carers in Ukraine” is funded by the Organization “Kerk in Actie” from Netherlands and involves a team of national experts in the field.
