The Mobile Team Provides Support to Refugees in Cimișlia District

In the first half of November, the AO Homecare mobile team, in collaboration with UNFPA, carried out assistance activities in the Cimișlia district, providing support to Ukrainian refugees. The program included consultations on gender-based violence (GBV), sexual and reproductive health, as well as essential information on employment, housing, and financial support.

The mobile team operated both in meeting rooms and in a specially equipped van for consultations. In isolated cases, the team visited individuals at their homes to provide the necessary support. Refugees received hygiene kits, and those in vulnerable situations benefited from psychological counseling. AO Homecare distributed hygiene kits and provided psychological counseling where needed.

Among the beneficiaries is Olga, a woman originally from the Republic of Moldova who had previously settled in Ukraine. After building a life in Kharkiv, the war destroyed her apartment, leaving her homeless. Widowed and with her daughters living abroad, Olga was forced to leave her home and seek refuge in Moldova. In February 2024, with the help of locals, she settled in a small house in the Cimișlia district, accompanied only by her dog, her last source of comfort.

“I am grateful for the support I have received here. I hope we will not be forgotten and that we will continue to find understanding and help,” Olga shared.
