AO Homecare/UNFPA Mobile Team Continues Essential Support in the Villages of Ștefan Vodă District

The AO Homecare mobile team, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), continues to provide essential assistance to the residents of villages in Ștefan Vodă district, regardless of weather conditions. After completing their activities in Căușeni, the team is now focused on delivering support to rural areas in Ștefan Vodă.

The mobile team’s activities range from meetings in conference rooms and mobile vans to home visits for bedridden beneficiaries, such as a recent case where they provided vital assistance.

Olesea, a 31-year-old woman from Izmail, led a peaceful life with her husband until he left for war and never returned. Deeply affected by this loss, Olesea decided to seek refuge in Moldova in September 2023. Although she had no relatives in Moldova, she managed to find a host and a job, eventually deciding to stay permanently as life in Ukraine had become unbearable.

The AO Homecare/UNFPA mobile team provided Olesea with counseling, emotional first aid, and a much-needed hygiene kit. These initiatives offer vital support to those in need, providing not only material assistance but also hope and moral support.

The ongoing efforts of the mobile team exemplify solidarity and humanity, highlighting the importance of community support during times of crisis. Their work is essential to the well-being and health of the communities in Ștefan Vodă district, reflecting their dedication and commitment to helping those in need.

This activity is part of the “Improving Access to Essential Health and Protection Services for Refugees from Ukraine and Host Communities” program, supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA Moldova) in Moldova and funded by the European Union.
